Favorite flash mob videos
« on: January 29, 2013, 08:12:40 PM »
As requested  :-)

Here's mine:
http://www.cracked.com/blog/5-videos-that-will-brighten-your-day/  Warning: cracked.com has very NSFW language in some spots, although not this one.

This is not a particularly amazing flash mob; it's a college pep rally.  What I love about it is the random guy who sees a bunch of people starting to dance and thinks, wow, a dance party!  And joins in.

He's not doing it to mock them or mess up their groove; it just looks like fun, and hey, why not?

I love some of the ones that PPs listed - the t-mobile, the do-re-mi and the opera one.

There is a flash mob that is very special to me - not because it's so amazing but because the women in the video were protesting gender segregation in their city. the segregation issue in that city came to a head when one of the young girls who were the target of extremists agressive and violent (both verbal and physical) attacks, spoke up. backed by her family, she stood up and spoke out against what was going on and this video was done soon after the story hit the news: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pZd0kLWP01c

I don't know that family personally, but i used to live in the city and i know many of the people in the video.

This is mine, "One Day More" sung by the Polish cast of Les Miserables in a mall in Warsaw.  I don't speak a lick of Polish but it's beautiful, and luckily I know the song well enough in English to know what they're singing.

I love this one because of all the people that smile.  What a wonderful train ride that would have been.

And this one from the Big Bang Theory cast & crew (apart from Jim Parsons (a.k.a. Sheldon Cooper), who stays standing still at the back until the end).
