Oh, I thought it was perfect but then someone mentioned clotted cream which would be perfect plus perfect. I have never found clotted cream in north america, but there is a "Devon cream" that is found in a jar near whipping cream. Or if you are ambitious, you can make clotted cream by baking whipping cream overnight.
Apparently Whole Foods sells clotted cream by its other name Devonshire cream. I wonder if you might want to go all the way and use delicate bone china cups and saucers? It seems to me that I have seen them (not in a set, though) at thrift stores for not much money. That may be too much, but if not I think it would be fun to have different cups/saucers with the delicate flower patterns that are traditional.
Your menu is perfection. Do you share recipes? I would love to try to make persimmon spice cake. It sounds so exotic!
