Chumbawamba - Tubthumping.  It's great for those days when life keeps knocking you on your butt.

ACDC - Thunderstruck (agreeing with Guihong, any ACDC can work!)

Meatloaf, Rolling Stones and Nightwish are also good at lifting my mood.  Can't stop singing along or moving the feet, lol!

If I need to feel uplifted, I prefer "Defying Gravity" from the musical Wicked.

My favorite song when I am feeling like the world is out to get me is Rodney Atkins, "If your going thru hell."

"If you're going through hell
Keep on going, don't slow down
If you're scared, don't show it
You might get out
Before the devil even knows you're there"

That was my song for a year

Eye of the Tiger.

Especially the video of Jensen Ackles as Dean Winchester, lip synching it.  If you haven't seen it, find it on YouTube.
I have CDO.  It is like OCD but with the letters in alphabetical order, as they should be.

That video made me like the song!
If wisdom’s ways you wisely seek,
Five things observe with care,
To whom you speak,
Of whom you speak,
And how, and when, and where.

I second the Tom Lehrer suggestion. Also if you need a laugh, Bo Burnham.

This last one isn't really a power song (or power group, I guess I should say) buuuut...

When I am really really sad, I listen to Linkin Park

POD on Rodney Atkins (If You're Going Through Hell)

One from a while ago, "Rock and Roll Dreams Come Through" - Jim Steinman.  It's a nice teen anthem.

One that makes me smile right now - "Trip the Light" which is the song for Where the Hell is Matt 2012.  Plus the video is Matt's (and friends) usual awesome performance.

and this one - yes, I know the world is full of Gangnam Style videos, but this one is the students at Johnson Space Flight Center.  Just plain full of win.

This one I got from the "Entertainment and News" thread - Thanks, Gypsy 77!

Spike Jones if you want a bit of a laugh. Or Tom Lehrer if your tastes run in that direction.

"I hold your hand in mine, dear..."

;D

Fire and Ice, by Pat Benatar, The Sun Always Shines on TV by a-Ha, or, hey, Blondie's Heart of Glass or Atomic does it for me. :)
