Story: Latrell and his sister were adopted out of hte foster system when he was about 10.  One day, in coversation with his mom, he mentioned that he was sad sometimes when he thought about the baby pictures he never had.  His mom is a professional photographer, and here's the result:

Our family has oodles of junk.  One of my brothers in an effort to cut down gives us Christmas Presents through Smiles  which is part of World Vision.  Usually he gives to projects in Zambia because that is where we all spent our childhood.  However this year he gave me a goat because he thought  I would love the picture and I do

I have a picture of my son somewhere that makes me laugh whenever I come across it.

He was about 13 months at the time, and wearing nothing but a tea towel around his waist. The towel wouldn't stay so he's hunched over, trying to hold it up and run at the same time. His tiny butt is pointed at the camera and it's a motion shot, you can tell that he's about to ditch the towel...

As is, here's another of him (butt crack unseen) during a family fingerpaint session that also makes me smile.


Can you look at a joyful smile like that and NOT smile back?

Sampson, a black Percheron, and Kiva Fyrewulf are performers at the Texas Renaissance Festival. In 2009, this tiny little fae stopped by to visit and give him a wee peck... and.. magic happened. *Squeee*s abounded!

A friend just shared this one on fbook and it made me smile, as daffodils are my favorite flower and I just love Ireland. I've never been there, but I will be going in the next 10 years. That's my goal.
