Swim team parents have been writing on kids' arms and legs with sharpies for years.  (They write the kids' events, heats and lanes so the kids know what, when and where they're swimming).  And I've never heard of anyone getting sick from the sharpies.

O/T my cousin got the Safety Tats for their trip to Disney last year & they worked great. I just got a few sets myself for this summer's trips to amusement parks because my boys like to run off.  ::)
