So now I'm a quilt?
« on: March 18, 2013, 03:26:29 AM »
Interviewing an author for my podcast and simultaneously she and her husband were interviewing me for their podcast. Turned out to be incredibly casual and the call was nearing 3 hours in length (thank heaven for Skype ... we're both gonna have some serious editing to do!)

At one point, I was admitting to having lived an unfocused aimless life and the husband said "Not really ... you could think of your life more like a patchwork quilt." I truly couldn't speak for a few moments and then I told him what a wonderful gift he had given me with that thought.

Seriously, it will take me a while to really process that concept. I feel I've been relieved of quite a burden.
There is no 'way to peace.' Peace is the way.

I think that's a lovely way to put it. :)
You are only young once. After that you have to think up some other excuse.
