*snip*

My husband has Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter at home waiting for us to watch together. I am dreading it...I'd like to say I hope it'll have some redeeming value to it, but...hmmm....I suspect it will belong on this list as well.

Just the title made me laugh  ;D It intrigued me so much that I looked up the storyline and chuckled some more. I sounds like an excellent candidate for the so-bad-it's-good award and I kind of want to see it now. Wonder if it will come to Australia.

Confession: I've watched that movie twice. Yes, twice. Am I proud of that? No.  :-[

I love scary movies, even campy scary movies. So last year a friend gave me "Hillbillies in a Haunted House." Absolutely the worst movie I've seen...ever!

Last weekend I saw, against my will, The Human Centipede.  My DH asked I wanted to see the sequel too (like I wanted to see the first?) and I rolled my eyes at him and told him to just READ the wiki of the sequel and tell me if he really wanted to see that.  He quickly agreed after skimming it that maybe he could skip it.   I can't believe there's going to be a third.

Hmmmmm

DH and I will state that Godfather III was the absolute worst movie we ever. There's only 2 movies I've ever walked out of, that one and Bugsy.

But we are now starting to create quiet the list of movies we watch at home an can't finsih. The latest is R.I.P.D with Jeff Bridges and Ryan Reynolds. Just so bad.

I have a list...I'm hard on movies, I think. But these are my top worst ones.

Butterfly Effect
Mystery Men
Failure to Launch
Shallow Hal
Grease 2
I Know Who Killed Me
Because I Said So

Wow.  :o  That's cruel and unusual punishment. I think I'd go sit out in the lobby if anyone shanghaied me to that one.

Hansel & Gretl Witch Hunters.  I couldn't even watch it simply for Jeremy Renner.  It was just that awful.

I'm only partway through the thread, but I had to add my pick.

The Doctor.  Worst movie ever, so boring.  When I was in high school my friend wanted to see it in the theater.  We went, and he loved it, but I hated it.  We were meeting up with another friend a couple of hours later to see another movie.  Unfortunately for me he talked her into seeing it again that day!  I had to sit through it again because he drove.  In retrospect, I should have called my parents to come pick me up.

I agree SyFy has some of the best monster animal bad movies.  One of my favorites was (and might have the title wrong) Mega Python vs. Gatoroid.  Debbie Gibson vs. Tiffany, what could be better!

Pulp Fiction and Reservoir Dogs. I just can't stand them. I doubt I'll ever try a Tarantino movie again. Everyone I know talks him up so high, but I just don't like the style. The plot was loose at best, and I didn't care if the characters lived or died or what happened to them.

2001: A Space Odyssey. I tried to watch it several times, and every time I fall asleep. It does not bode well if it can't keep my interest when I'm well-rested and ready to watch it.

The Big Lebowski. I tried to watch a few minutes and had to leave, it just did not appeal to me at all. Also, one of my exes seemed to think that this was the only movie in the world worth watching, and how stupid did I have to be that I'd never seen it, and we should watch it right now (despite it already being 2 in the morning). No, thanks, I'll pass.

Rocky Horror Picture Show. Yeah, there's a few catchy songs, but I was finally forced to sit down and watch it this year, and I just don't see the appeal. Luckily it was just the background at a Halloween party, but there was no other room in the house to socialize in, so I was stuck. And then everyone started making plans to go to a theater interactive version, and they all looked at me like I had three heads when I declined going with them. I have never felt so out of place before.

Worst one I ever sat through was No Country For Old Men.  The  whole movie was violent and just screamed "evil" to me but I sat through it only to get to that ending that just seemed like the Cohen brothers got tired of playing filmmaker and walked away.  I was pissed that I sat through all that awfullness for that terrible what-the-hell-just-happened ending.

That ending was awful. I don't want to spoil it, so I'll just say if that was what I was supposed to take from that gore and violence, well crud, I could have figured out the essential message out myself.

I had to watch NCfOM for class about the devil and the problem of evil, so it's not like I could get out of watching it. But I will never watch that again.

If someone tried to make me see that, I would find any way I could to leave the premises. I already don't like horror as it is. Sorry for anyone who actually watched and liked that movie, but I consider that absolute filth. IMO, there was no reason for that thing to be made. The fact that there are sequels is even more messed up. If someone I cared about tried to make me see that, we would be due for a very serious conversation, to say the least.

Oz The Great And Powerful.

Insipid writing, horrible acting, a waste of good costumes and Rachel Weiss's talents. The only reason we watched it through to the end was the constant hope that it couldn't be this bad and had to get better.

Agreed that No Country For Old Men was a waste of film/tape/binary code, whatever was used to record it.  DH and I kept waiting for the point of the film.  Nope, there was none.

There's a twisted a little part of me that really wants to see that movie. I try to keep that part of me quiet.

Worst movie I saw was, Garage Band. It was just, it was so bad. And really I like a lot of stuff other people consider bad. A lot of movies I like are in the so bad they're good group. But no, that was just bad bad.

I'm not a Titanic fan either. I saw it when it came out in theaters, I was pretty young and was bored for most of the movie. I've seen as an adult, I'm still bored.

The original The Hills have Eyes, is one that's so campy horror, it's awesome. The remake is just gore-porn.

I have no problem with horror type movies, but that one sound too icky even for me.

Thank You! I knew that I couldn't be the only one who hated this.
