I've posted about them before.

  This is the same bunch that was extremely picky about the images on greeting cards and gifts of soaps or bath products.  They were Mistresses of minor self-concocted drama.

They wouldn't be anywhere as entertaining to read about as 'The Crazy HOA Lady' or the 'Dresser Queen'.  I think they just took soap operas a bit too seriously  and thought that real life was lacking in drama.

I think your husband needs to have a conversation with his son, making it clear that if they want to fight they can do it elsewhere. Then follow through- if they come over and WWIII breaks out in your living room, they get escorted off the property.

I agree 100% that the op's husband needs to be the one to handle this.

He needs to be the one to talk with his son about the behavior & the one to enforce leaving the premises if StepSon & wife can't act like civilized adults.
