I loved the idea but I refuse to make rolls. So I applied the principle to a cinnamon pound cake. I set aside some of the batter, added some cocoa for a nice contrasting colour and piped my father's initial and a few ornamental designs with it on parchment paper. I froze it, added the rest of the batter and baked it. Once it was done, I sprinkled some sugar over everything.
It looked pretty good (despite the lopsided letter) and it was delicious! No photos, as I was running late already.
