Company French Toast
Needs to be prepared the night before!
Need: 9x13 pan
5 eggs
1 1/2 cups milk
cinnamon
pinch salt
12 slices bread (inexpensive white bread works really well, but so does a baguette sliced in 1/2" slices)
1 cup margarine or spread
1 cup brown sugar
Melt margarine, pour into pan, add brown sugar and mix, smooth over bottom of pan.
Layer 6 slices of bread over the bottom, squish them in to fit.
Dust lightly with cinnamon.
Layer remaining bread, dust again.
Mix eggs, milk, and salt well in a bowl, pour over mixture.
Cover with plastic wrap or lid to pan, place in fridge overnight (or up to 12 hours).
Preheat oven to 350, uncover pan and bake for 1 hour or until no longer eggy in the middle.
Cut into pieces, serve upside down on plate.
Brown sugar turns into syrup.
