My boyfriend and I are really into UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship, its kind of like a boxing event but its all kinds of fighting styles adapted and incorporated into one as a kind of league. Usually a fighter is well versed in one particular style. There is usually a title fight or main event, then a couple smaller fights before and after it.) Recently we found an event close to us. We usually buy the event on pay per view with 2 other couples. We told one of the couples shortly before we got tickets and they said they did want to go but
they could only afford upper level seats (essentially cheaper seats). We got a special presale opportunity and the seats were going fast. The site was set up so they would offer you the best available seats at that time, you had 2 minutes to decide and continue to buy mode, or then you had to forfeit so another site browser had the opportunity to buy them or be passed up. My boyfriend and I sprung for extremely good (extremely expensive) seats. We're both really excited but I'm a little uneasy as to wether or not it was rude to buy good seats and let the friends set futher away. I'm not suggesting that we offer them the money or pay the difference, but should we have went for the crappier seats? They are still going to ride to the event with us, we'll probably have some drinks and dinner before hand, but when it comes to enterting the venue, they'll be going one way and we'll be going another. Anyone have any thoughts?
Also I'm not real sure what to wear. In movies it always seems like women are kind of dressed up when they go to boxing events and things. When we watch the events on TV, celebrities like Paris Hilton, Andre Agassi, Joe Rogan, lots of others are there. I would hate to show up looking like a blue light special when etiquette says dress up! It wouldn't make much sense to me, put on nice clothes to watch guys get their faces bloodied, but you never know.
If anyone has any answers, please reply!
