http://toastable.com/2010/08/watermelon-caviar-an-introduction-to-molecular-gastronomy/  For the Top hat ( worn by rich gentlemen)

http://allrecipes.com/recipe/scottish-shortbread-iv/  ( bone shaped f0r the scottie dog )

Spam Burgers for the battle ship ( a common meal for soldier/sailors of a certain era)

Fresh Veggies for the WheelBarrow ( used by gardeners)

Brownbread for the Iron ( it's made with mollasses, which is high in iron, plus brownbread and butter/cheese was a common lunch for both iron workers and domestic help at one time)

Checkered Cookies http://allrecipes.com/recipe/checkerboard-cookies-i/ for the race car ( like the checkered flag )

Cucumber finger sandwiches for the thimble ( since the thimble covers a finger while sewing)

for the cat take cupcake cups and fill them with an "X" or starshaped pasta salad.

You could make a nice punch and have an easy night of it.

I love all of the ideas that have come from other posters. I really like the idea of doing hors d'oeuvres that are in the "classy" range. Because the goal of Monopoly is to have the highest net worth, it seems to me that this is a good time to do something fancy.

I'd probably do tapenade, crudités, flatbread, roasted red pepper spread, and other swankier finger foods.

I apologize for the thread drift, but the combination of "Monopoly Unleashed" and the introduction of a cat figurine now has me picturing a party with about 30 cats hissing, clawing and flying through the air, as the guests try to keep cat fur out of their drinks and off the hors d'oeuvres, which prominently feature tuna and swordfish and crab.

Retreating quietly back to my cave now. . . .
