Sponge based cheesecake
« on: September 22, 2013, 06:35:41 PM »

hi,

I was wondering if you guys could put me on the right track.

Many years ago my Nan was given a cheesecake by a Hungarian lady at work.  It was less dense than a standard new york cheesecake, with a sponge base and contained sultanas.

Does anyone have a similar recipe they would care to share ?  :)

Thanks!

Twik

I haven't tried them, but there are some recipes here for what sounds exactly like what you're describing: http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20080211101707AAgKOLp
My cousin's memoir of love and loneliness while raising a child with multiple disabilities will be out on Amazon soon! Know the Night, by Maria Mutch, has been called "full of hope, light, and companionship for surviving the small hours of the night."
