Quotable movies.
« on: October 05, 2013, 12:31:26 AM »
In the reading/movie peeve thread, someone mentioned quoting from The Three Musketeers.
What are some of the movies that you could quote from all day long, or are family quotes?

Mine are The Princess Bride(Anybody want a peanut?, Inconcievable, I don't think that means what you think it means, My name is Ingio Montoya you killed my father prepare to die, and so many more.

And the family one is The Sound of Music.

Robin Hood: Men in Tights. It was very bound in its own time, but my college roomie and I would quote that all the time.

For DS1 and me it's The Usual Suspects.

Fr Ds2 and me any of the Lord of he Rings movies.

For DH and me it's Moonstruck (it's not even a favorite film).

I am always quoting scenes from In The Heat Of The Night.

Definitely The Princess Bride.

I also find myself quoting lines from Bring It On a lot, especially during family board games. "This isn't about cheating, it's about winning! All in favor of winning?"

MST3K: Space Mutiny.  VERY quotable.  Mostly the riffs.  This is the favorite of my spouse and I.

Honestly the most quotable thing I've ever seen (not a movie, sorry) is the original (UK) version of the The Office.  It's now over a decade old and I still quote it constantly.  A mere 14 episodes but a goldmine.

Space balls, The Blues brothers, Ghostbusters,

What do you say when someone asks you if you're a god? You say yes!

Princess Bride. The one I will often quote under mt breath is "Yes, you're very smart, now shut up".  Wow I'll have to rewatcg to find out if constant quoting when I'm irritated has shifted that, can't remember if its shut up, or be quiet.

Disneys Aladdin.  "But you're so old" "now there's a surprise, I think I'll have a heart attack and die of not surprise"
