Twitter - Anything Else?
« on: November 03, 2013, 10:55:30 AM »
Last Friday night, I went to a college sporting event.  This sport is not one of the big ones, and student attendance is sparse to moderate.

After the game, the team captain stood at the foot of the stairs to the stands.  He shook hands with and personally thanked every student for coming.

I tweeted the following:  Classy move last night  by Captain after game - shaking hands of (name of college) students & thanking them for coming.

The GM of the team is in charge of the twitter and re-tweeted it.

DD suggested that I write a separate letter to the GM and coaches letting them know what I saw.  I feel that any further correspondence makes me appear attention seeking, which is not proper etiquette!  ;)

Opinions, e-hellions?

Leave it be. They got your message; it's clear from the retweet.

If they re-tweeted, they saw. No need to tell them again. :-)
You have just begun reading the sentence you have just finished reading.

I agree, the re-Tweeting has made it clear they're pleased with your post and Captain's behaviour, and now other people will see it too.  Anything more might seem...pushy somehow? This sounds like a great interaction all around!
