I also worked on my Christmas cards.

Crap!  I knew I was forgetting something.  I'll have to work on those tomorrow - it's not happening tonight.

I remembered that I needed to hit the grocery store, and I managed to go in the proper state of not being hungry to be able to actually buy healthy food.  My caffeine fix of choice was BOGO this week - so that was an added bonus.

Now to fold laundry...

I crawled out of bed this morning.    ;D

I did a ton of crazy manual labor this weekend and my muscles are protesting.  Everything hurts, places I didn't even know I have hurt.

I'd planned to unpack the dishwasher and put away the other dishes that I didn't get around to last night.  But woke to a couple of inches of snow in the driveway so that was this morning's first task.  Got a bit of a workout at the same time!

I have cleared the snow off the car and shoveled the driveway and sidewalks. That is enough, and anything else I do today is just gravy.

Maybe if I write down what I plan to do today it'll actually get done:
-get my kids out the door for school
-40 minutes at the gym
-shower
-Costco (out of tp!)
-Christmas shopping - I have 5 places left to shop, hopefully I can hit 2-3
-random paperwork and phone calls

I like your plan.  :-)

I plan to hit Costco tonight, too.  I have to hit the building supply store next door to it for a new set of bathroom taps and hit BB&B across the street to pick up 'The Cat's Meow'.  It is a Christmas present for the cats.  One of them needs to burn off some energy and the other one needs some exercise so I'm hoping it will be just the ticket.

And when I get home, I have to start writing Christmas cards.  Either I do up a letter on the computer to insert into them or I write a shorter note.  I haven't decided yet.  I only write about 40 so I should be able to get half done tonight and the other half tomorrow night.

Today's accomplishments are more impressive than Saturday's.

Made/decorated sugar cookies and peanut butter balls
Made cinnamon cashews, Parmesan pecans, rosemary walnuts
Tidied the living room, including stacking the remaining Christmas boxes out of sight
Vacuumed
Put the leaves in the table, and chairs moved
Bought some teapots, tissue paper, scotch tape
Picked up kids from school
Started mulling cider
Put my feet up. I need to start on dinner soon (ravioli with homemade sauce), then shovel the front walk.

I am hosting a gift-wrapping party for a few friends tonight after dinner; I am so excited! I just wish I had had time to finish decorating the tree. Oh well; it's up and has lights. Besides people are coming for the company and food, anyway, right?

Tree is up, though not decorated.  Fair number of presents are wrapped.  Made two batches of lotion  that need to cool overnight and then go into containers for presents (I'm doing soap, lotion and bath salts sets for lots of the ladies in my gifting circle).  Still need to make some of the soaps and make the bath salts.

My karma decided it wanted me to accomplish even more, so it smote a couple of my dashboard lights.  Today's list so far:

- post office to mail DS2's care package
- auto mechanic to replace those dashboard bulbs
- vet's to pick up cipro for my dog
- downtown bank for desk calendars that my mother loves
- downtown shop to pick up my framed needlework -- they did a lovely job -- so happy!
- downtown shop to get charming socks for my sons' girlfriends:  tree frogs, cats, really whimsical
- walked with dog in the icy drizzle; we both loved it
- re-started the fire in our wood stove
- stretches for my knee
- finally got a shower at 4 PM
- purged some papers in the attic
- prepared a treasurer's report (low activity) for a local non-profit group whose board I'm on
- turned on the Christmas lights!   :)

SCAJAfamily has the right idea, this is what I really need to do and have put off:

get out the other Christmas decorations
do Christmas cards (very few; most of us do either in person or online)
order the gifts DH marked in a catalog for me

I got it all done.  I actually went to 4 shops plus Costco.  Then I did some stuff in the kitchen, then barely started my Christmas cards.  Now I'm going to go pick up my sons from school and then take a nap...

Got my Costco run done, got a faucet and got the cat toy.  I got home and set up the toy.  To great amusement of both me and the cats.    :)

Christmas cards aren't happening; I'm too tired.  But I'll get some more knitting done.

Tomorrow is probably having to clean the driveway in the morning, getting lottery tickets at lunch, massage appointment after work, hitting the beer store, the bank and picking up cat food.  I'll probably be too tired to do the cards tomorrow, too, but I don't have a lot to do Wednesday or Thursday so hopefully I'll get them done then.

I like this thread!

Today I

-ran errands for work
-had a doctor's appointment
-went to the drug store
-completed a lengthy experiment in time to
-go to happy hour with the rest of my lab
-went to Trader Joe's to stock up on some affordable, healthy food that I can consume in my kitchen that currently consists of a refrigerator/freezer and microwave
