I saw this on the news the other day, including an interview with the man in question. He was almost in tears as he didn't think what he did was anything out of the ordinary.

Hmmph. I made faces for two solid hours with a crying child on an airplane (she would be entranced as long as I did so, started to weep as soon as I stopped) and I never got written up in the news!  >:(

But seriously, this is a sweet story. Blessings on the passenger who was understanding rather than irate!
