Bridesmaid's Dresses You Loved.

<< < (2/7) > >>

auntmeegs:
I have been a bridesmaid more times than I care to remember and Iíve actually had quite a few really fabulous dresses.  In fact, I donít think I ever had a bad one.  Sure, some of them were very much bridesmaid dresses and I would never have worn them again, but some of them became part of my formalwear wardrobe and were worn again to other events.  Bridesmaid dresses have come such a long way!!!!

emwithme:
I was a bridesmaid seven times before the age of 13 (youngest girl in the family, by quite a way), between 1979 and 1990.

The dresses were itchy and icky and none of them could be worn anywhere other than at a wedding.

So when I got married in 2012, I decided that my "grown up" bridesmaid (I only had one) could choose her own dress (which ended up being a beautiful Monsoon silk dress that she's worn many times since to fancy dinners etc) and worked with the mum of my little bridesmaid/flower girl to find one that wasn't itchy or nasty.  She's since worn her dress to at least two other parties.

This is the three of us just before I got married.

Mel the Redcap:
I confess to really liking the dresses my bridesmaids and I chose for my wedding... but they like them too, honest! ;D

Claret red, kind of sleek and flowing, with a white band embroidered with red flowers across the top and a little white demi-train to go with the red accents and train on my dress. I made their necklaces. ;)
