My cat is Shouting at me because... I don't know.

He has food, water and smooches and I just let him in.
I think he just likes the sound of his own voice.

Cat 1: ...because she's Siamese.

Cat 2: because I keep going into the kitchen and not giving her treats or cheese.

Cat 3: because she snuck down into the basement, where she is not supposed to be, while I was doing laundry, and I promptly grabbed her and carried her right back up.

Cat 4: ...is actually not shouting, thank goodness.

Back when I used to take the bus back and forth to work, my dogs came to learn that in the late afternoons/early evenings, the "pshhhh" of the bus stopping at the stop across the street meant I was coming home, so they'd get excited.

Even after I WAS home,  they'd get excited at the "pshhh!" sound.  I guess I'm coming home again!
"After all this time?"
"Always."

Because I'm sitting here at the computer and Fred knows it's the time I usually start getting ready for bed. He's meowing and walking in circles.

Tomorrow morning, he'll meow until I make the bed. Then he has to inspect it. One morning I left a small pillow off the bed and he meowed for about an hour until I figured out what was bothering him.

Fred is the cat in my avatar--he's doing his daily morning inspection of the just made  bed in that picture.

Not right now, but my calico, Bailey, has been known to whine and yell at me for not letting her shed all over me, bump my arm, and walk in front of the monitor when I'm trying to type.

My small boy spent a very unhappy week, sick, hunched over in his favorite hiding spot, refusing to eat and not at all thrilled by trips to the vet and having meds shoved down his throat.

I was very pleased, therefore, when, at 6 AM, I was informed in no uncertain terms, that unless food was immediately forthcoming, he would have no choice but to call the SPCA to report a case of animal cruelty.

Oh, the poor thing! I'm glad he's feeling better now.

This morning, I wanted to share what has apparently become "her" pillow!

Yesterday morning, because I let her know that my eyelashes are NOT a toy.

How dare I!

Yesterday morning, because I was sleeping in on the weekend.
This morning, because it was almost 15 minutes until the alarm went off, and she wanted to make sure I was aware.
Or something like that.
I think the neighbors left, and she is intrigued by the lack of other (mean) cats around.  This morning she did not even eat breakfast before insisting on going outside to investigate.

Luna is meeping imperiously because she wants WaterInTheTub. I have informed her she's not getting it because she just got WaterInTheTub in the other tub.

She insists that she doesn't remember that. WaterInTheTub Naaaoooow!

Gretchen and Zoe are upset with me because I will not sit down.  They can't take their nap unless they know I am occupied and won't get in trouble.

Mocha only likes spring water in her bowl now.

Harley wants kitten food. He is almost 16 years old.
