Glad you're feeling better!

If you end up not going, a really extra-nice thing to do would be to send some flowers (to the home, not the wedding venue).  Not as an apology!  There's nothing to apologize for.  Rather, with a note of congratulations and regret that you had to miss it.  The point is to acknowledge that this is a major event in their lives and it really meant a lot to you, too, and you are disappointed that you had to miss it.  This is certainly not required, but if you want to go a big extra mile, it will be greatly appreciated and never forgotten.
