When I was first dating my husband and I asked to sit facing the door, he said, "What, are you in the mob?" He's used to me now.I've heard it called the gunfighter' or gunslinger's seat. I don't know what it is, but the feeling of uneasiness is palpable to me. I've thought to myself that I should get over it and make myself sit in any seat and not be quirky about it, but then I think, "Why should I? I'm not hurting anyone and wouldn't be comfortable."

I'm the opposite. I don't like to sit outdoors. I tend to feel the cold if it's chilly and get overheated if it's warm (my thermostat seems off in that way). I also don't like to compete with insects for my meal and for some reason when we've eaten outdoors the restaurant doesn't seem to be doing anything to ward them off.
