Willow -- Wow!  Fraud AND extortion!  I hope your DH advised that woman to file a police report.

And for second: Good for you! (I'm right in thinking it was you who did this, right? That the story was written by your daughter about you?).

Sorry--I wasn't clear. My daughter died when she was two hours old, and I created a website for other parents who have decided to go to term after their baby has been diagnosed with a fatal condition. I call it Emily's website, but it's actually written and maintained by me.

The woman in the story was my mother (Emily's grandmother) who every so often shows a surprising amount of irritation with stupid people and becomes extremely creative.

Oh, I see, like that. I just seemed to remember you have other children, and thought maybe one of them had a website. My apologies. I remember you talking about Emily before, too. I'm very sorry you had to go through such an experience.

True story:

Boss Lady:  Call J and see if I can get my nails done today.
Secretary:  Ok.  Places call, speaks to manicurist, hangs up.
BL: Well, what time is the appointment?
S:  There is no appointment.  She was in tears.  She just got word that her grandmother has died.  She's leaving in a few minutes, just as soon as she finishes her current client.
BL: Well, is she working tomorrow?
S:  I didn't ask. She was obviously trying to get out of there to go to be with her family.
BL: Call her back and find out about tomorrow.
S:   ::) calls back apologetically.
BL:  What did she say?
S:  She's not sure.  She won't know until she gets together with her family and they start to make    arrangements.  She's in bad shape.
BL: Call her back and ask her to call me from home and let me know if she'll be in tomorrow.  I don't want to seem insensitive, but I reeeeeally neeeeeeed to get my nails done.
S: (Can't say out loud what she's thinking, but it was choice!)

Don't want to seem insensitive?  Lady, you are the Insensitivity Queen and well as the Diva of Demanding >:(

Don't want to seem insensitive?

Wow--so what she was saying was, "I want to be as insensitive as I feel like being, but I don't want to seem that way."
