Bathroom girl is at it again VENT!!

So many of you probably remember how I posted the cell phones in the bathroom thing.  Well this morning I was called to go sub at an elementary school about 30 minutes away.  Let me also add that I had been up and outside til  2 AM due to fire alarm/creepy guy lurking the dorm/domestic violence and we were forced to evacuate until police and the fire dept. could straighten things out.  I got up and went to the bathroom only to see stupid bathroom girl (SBG) yapping away on her cell phone.  I assumed she was exiting when I came in but ohhhhh no...SBG is pacing the bathroom.  Since it's the only bathroom on my floor I'm stuck using this one.  Anyhow, I'm trying use the restroom but SBG just can't get off the phone.  She even says, "Yeah, I'm in the bathroom but I don't want to go back in the room and wake up X"  Hello! Go out in the hallway or perhaps down to the lobby.  It's RUDE to be in the bathroom talking on a cell phone when people are trying to go.  When I left I gave her my iciest glare....thanks for letting me vent ehellions....I'm terribly tired and really needed it and now I'm off to spend the day with 2nd graders.

You need to eat a lot of beans and poot extremely loud while you go, holler "Oh yeah baby!" after each really good one...

Perhaps a direct approach would work here. When you see Pottygirl in the hall tell her that her being on the phone in the bathroom makes you uncomfortable and ask if she'd use the lobby or the halls in the future.

Haha...good idea AuntieVenom!  This is becoming too common....something has got to give....anyone else have any suggestions??

Believe me...I'm planning on talking to the RA.  It just weirds me out that someone would hang out in the bathroom like that.

Gosh, when I was in college (and dinosaurs roamed the earth) the bathroom was a popular gathering spot.

For some reason they called it the Jane...the female version of the John..ya think?

I gotta admit though, I always HATED when people talked on their cellphones in the hall during sleeping hours, I'm a very light sleeper and as we all know dorm doors are notoriously thin so I could hear EVERYTHING, so I think in this instance I would ratehr she be in the bathroom then in the hall. My next door neighbor who I ended up REALLY disliking was notorious for sitting infront of my door and talking about mundane things till 4 AM.

But I'm also thinking theres probably a better alternative to both the bathroom, her room and the hall - its called go outside, or go to the lobby as long as it doens't have doors to peoples rooms attached to it.

You're right.  However, at St. John's College they call it "The Jake."  LOL

I don't know why anyone would want to spend any more time than absolutely necessary in a communal bathroom. Just think of the bacterial/viral load that lurks there.
