Don't know where Dad placed the photo of this, but in our old town, there were two local businesses side by side, with nice big signs advertising the businesses that made you go  :o if you've a great sense of humor  >:D

The first was Wilder's Funeral Home.

The Second was....Dave's Body Shop.

To my knowledge, both are still in business
 ;D

These signs have always made me laugh - in Budapest, they're meant to tell you to watch where you're walking as the pedestrians and cyclists share a path.

I would have thought it was the other way around -- cyclists should watch where they are riding, so as not to run into pedestrians.

This is to warn about a Barred owl (named "Owlcapone" by the city's residents) that's been attacking people in Salem, OR. This sign amuses me every time I see it. :)

It's probably a little of both, but it's posted at a spot where pedestrians might cross the bike path to walk up to a bridge, so it's not an official end to the bike lane. There's a lot of tourists that sort of wander aimlessly in that spot, so I've always assumed the sign was warning the tourists what will happen to them if they step into the bike path portion of the sidewalk.

There is a fish and chip shop in a nearby town called '300 Spartans' with a hand-painted sign on the wall round the back that always raises a smile: Parking for 300 Spartans.  They must be very small, given there is only space for two cars at most.

Seen today on the back of a Jeep, upside down across the rear window (so if the Jeep was in a rollover and ended up on its top, it would be right side up and legible): "If you can read this, parts for sale"

Nah, that's totally legit, since I'm guessing Spartans didn't drive cars.

Several posts ago, I mentioned that the sign (and even the name) of "Los Pollos Hermanos" cracked me up.

Well, someone came into the library earlier this week wearing a t-shirt sporting the sign!

Needless to say, it royally cracked me up!

The wine shop is Really pushing the limit.

They were advertising a wine tasting with crackers and cheese.  The sign showed the famous picture of Vladimir Putin riding a horse.  The horse was positioned on a cracker and the sign read 'Putin on the Ritz'.

I think they need a trap set for that one!  :P

Here's a bunch of them - I love the combination of "Ooh, I can guess why they had to put that sign up, and it rhymes with Meeple Mar Moopid" up against "Wait, what?"

The Crocker Art Museum in Sacramento, California, has a cafe on the first floor. These signs are placed on the first floor, near elevators & stairwells.
