Here is one thing that would worry me. Doesn't Match.com match you with the "perfect" person based on some sort of test that you take? (Never used the service just have heard the commericals.)

I would think twice about a service that would think someone like that would be a match for me!

Match.com has a companion site that does that called Chemistry.com (their answer to eHarmony), but regular Match is a classified-ad kind of set-up.

What I'm thinking is that the purchasing agent job is his real job, but he told the OP he was an airline pilot to try to impress her.  Personally, I'd be a lot more impressed with a purchasing agent who didn't lie to try to impress me, and just is what he is.

As the daughter of an airline pilot, I can assure you that he most certainly does not have time to also be a purchasing agent for BigCity port.  Additionally, that doesn't look like a real cockpit to me.

That's what I was thinking -- I wouldn't just post a pic of myself in civilian clothes in a flight simulator.

My FH is an airline pilot and he's lucky he had enough time to date me with how busy his schedule is.  No way would he have time to be an airline pilot for a big airline.

Now, if he was with a small touring airline going to places like Grand Canyon tours or something, that would be possible as they work mostly days and can be available only on weekends.  Hardly a big airline and they have uniforms too.  My experience is pilots just don't sit in the cockpit in civilian clothes when flying someone else's plane.

Oh and that cockpit was the lamest one I've ever seen.  My FH looks at airplane pictures like other guys look at porn so I've seen some pretty basic and impressive cockpits.  Even the most basic one I've seen is more advanced then that one.

That does look like a sim, but that doesn't mean automatically that he's not a pilot.  My FIL is a pilot and flies only enough to keep his cert, the rest of the time he manages the sims for some requirement for other pilots.  Though, given the other things he said, this guy is probably full of hot air.

I have to wonder if the race thing was to get you in trouble. If you had said yes, could he have reported you? I half wonder if he might have used that to guilt/blackmail you into talking with him.

I might have replied that "a gentleman knows how to take no for an answer." But guys not taking a no well is a HUGE turnoff for me.

Look! My kid is a pilot too....but he's not a ninja or a purchasing agent. By day he's a garbage man in the Bahamas!   (this is what he told his 2nd grade teacher was his dream job.)

Now I'm confused about the race comment.  He looks Caucasian.  You look Caucasian in your thumbnail.  I realize that I'm assuming a lot here, but if the pictures are really of you two, you are the same general skin color and both appear to be members of the human race.  Why would he think you wouldn't see him (or have a relationship) on the basis of race?
