Please excuse the very ignorant question I'm about to ask. I wasn't really taught much about cooking while growing up, and I made a mistake with this once before, but I can't remember what it was!
When a recipe calls for whipping cream (not
whipped cream), do I need to whip the whipping cream before I use it? Or will the recipe tell me if I need to whip it?
