I love "Donkey", the movies and the show. I have no idea why, I just laugh uncontrollably.
I also love Lifetime docudramas, "Snapped" on Oxygen, "Valley of the Dolls", "Celebrity Paranormal Project" and "The Surreal Life". I also love Wendy's and Taco Bell....I know it's the worst thing you can possibly eat and I'm slowly committing suicide every time I touch that stuff but sometimes I just drool for a double cheeseburger or a Mexican pizza....

I liked the book Valley of the Dolls - what is the show about?

I like Titanic and Dirty Dancing, too.

I liked Titanic because it was about the HMS Titanic (which fascinates me) and I loved the period costume. I think both Kate Winslet and Leo di Caprio are much more capable actors than the storyline made them out to be (I mean, the middle third of the movie consisted of exactly two lines - "Jack!" "Rose!" - Lather. Rinse. Repeat), because they've both done way better work, but the special effects were stunning, the costumes were great, and I STILL want her dresses, dangit.

Dirty Dancing was the movie every girl in my seventh-grade class swooned over, because of Patrick Swayze, but I just thought the dancing was cool (my aunt is a dancer - dancing is nothing new to me). And it spawned the unfortunate fashion disaster of every girl in my middle school going around in knee-length Levi's cut-offs folded at the knee, worn with white Keds sneakers. Including me. *guilty look*

I like "Maury," as in the TV talk show. I don't know what it is. I just love that show, especially the ones where they test the guys for paternity and it turns out the mother is wrong and she has to start all over again. I don't know why I find that so entertaining.

The movie Friday and its sequels. I'm not one for rap or hip-hop music or culture, but there's something deeply amusing (and very lowbrow) about those movies, much along the same lines as the Cheech & Chong movies, which I also enjoy.

Teen movies, like Cruel Intentions or Bring It On. Don't even ask.

E's "True Hollywood Story."

"One Tree Hill." I haven't watched it in a while, but it's about as soapy as soaps get. It's worse than "Dawson's Creek." Waaaaaaay worse. And I love it!

As far as books...hmmmm...I try to stay above-board with those, having been an English major, but I can't resist a good trashy Jackie Collins novel every once in a while.

I used to watch that show a lot until those shows started to air.

It seems to me that after you have tested 8 or 10 guys for paternity and none of them are the "one" there is a name for you and it is not very nice and *very* *very* filterable.

Besides, where do they come up with these people anyway?

I can't even think what is going on in their minds that they would want to go on national tv with some of their stories.

Of course I watch a lot of the "Judge" shows - Joe Brown, Judy, Mathis (and I don't know why I want to watch them either)

"Survivor"! I LOVE that Jeffy Probst! I even watch the reruns of the older Survivor series they show on a cable channel here called Versus.
American Idol - I call in to vote! for the entire two hours! I blow off professional meetings to see AI!
Shhhh... Don't tell... Anything with Jeff Foxworthy about "You might be a Redneck if..." I think I am a Redneck, please don't tell.
Larry the Cable Guy - Get 'er done! - I am soooo embarassed, but I love him!
Robot Chicken.
The Young and the Restless - I can listen to it on the radio in my city when I am working.
Comic books - X-Men, Wolverine, Legion of Superheroes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Anything directed by kevin Smith - Clerks, Mallrats, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back.
I also am bizarrely fascinated by everyone on Judge Judy!

Shhhh. Please don't tell! I also read jane Austin, does that help redeem my incredibly low-brow secret vices?

I watch those too! My favorites are "Judge Alex," "Judge Hatchett" and a Spanish-language court show called "Caso Cerrado." They're highly amusing. The lengths people will go to for an appearance fee and a couple of nights at a hotel in New York or whatever never ceases to amaze me.

I love Jeff Probst too, but I've only ever watched one season of Survivor. I got hooked on Big Brother, but can't seem to get into Survivor. Anyway, I used to watch Jeff all the time on Rock & Roll Jeopardy. I hated it when they stopped making that show!

Speaking of defunct game shows, I also loved Beat The Geeks.

At the moment I get only one television channel (the kids who visit me at the library are driven crazy by the fact that I can get by with only one channel) and it happens to be ABC.  So I can't even see my guilty pleasures which are:

CSI (the original--I love the loopy relationship dynamics, I love Gil Grissom's gross obsessions, I love trying to figure out exactly what vile bit of evidence they will discover that will turn the plot around and I love how Captain Brass is always up to his ears in everyone's business.)

Law and Order: Crime Unit:  I just know that as soon as D'onofrio leans waaaaaaaaay over to one side he's about to deliver a coup de gras.  He's as annoying as Columbo and as hard to look away from as a car wreck...and I. Love. Him.

Celine Dion.  I'm sorry.  Can't help it.  Love "My Heart Will Go On."  Love "I'll Be Waiting For You".  Love it. Love her.  I'm wired funny.

Fruits Basket, Haibane RenMei (er, Charcoal Feathers) and other manga "dramedies" that go waaaaaaay over the top.  (And as long as I'm here, I'll go right out on a limb and say that my favorite Fruits Basket character is "Shigure" the writer--precisely because he is such a whack job.  Everyone else who reads the book says "He's creepy."  I know.  I don't care.

Speaking of creepy:  I want Elizabeth Patterson from "For Better or For Worse" to look at Anthony again.  I LIKE Anthony.  Maybe because he reminds me of an old friend who really wasn't all that stalkerish (as someone said).  Anyway, I like Anthony.

The Japanese version of The Grudge.  It IS scary.  It DID make me jump.  It DID force me to sleep with the lights on.  I love it.

And finally, unlike everyone else who loves Brad Pitt and George Clooney (both of whom are over rated) I would trade my wordprocessor for a night with either (covers face with hands because she can't believe she's saying it out loud) Kevin Bacon or James Spader.  People make a lot of fun of them and their acting, but--I've been in love with Kevin since "Tremors" and James since "White Palace."

I'm sick.  Sue me.

I watch Degrassi. Both the old and the new. It really makes me mad when someone to home when the new episodes are on! I would NEVER admit to watching it.

My other is watching Sylvia Browne on Montel. I don't get it here anymore  >:( She's just *so* bad.

Godzilla movies, and not to laugh at them except in the places where they ARE funny. I take the fandom very, very seriously. It's not "some guy in a rubber suit stomping on cardboard buildings"(GOD, I hate that statement). I love the movies and I love to draw fanart and write fanfiction for this fandom because I love it. Godzilla is awesome.

Likewise, Dragonball Z. Well, I DO agree that some of the scenes where people are powering up were too drawn out. However, the manga is absolutely amazing due to being correctly translated. My favorite is always going to be Piccolo the green man ^^; his personality is so much like mine that I'd frigging marry him if he was real. :P

I also love listening to Celine Dion(and can do a GREAT kareoke rendition of My Heart Will Go On) :P At least when she sings she can hold a note. With most modern pop singers today, they do runs to cover up that they can't hold a note and it sounds like vocal diarrhea.

Back in the 90's, my friend and I LOVED Unsolved Mysteries and Rescue 911.

Now I watch different episodes (with different hosts) of Family Feud every day.

I liked that Sgt Pepper movie, featuring the Bee Gees.  It's campy and I had a crush on Maurice.

My daytime soap is Days Of Our Lives. I guess that qualifies as lowbrow! I'll continue to watch it anyway.

Yay!  Another Dool fan!
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.
