To each his own; I do not enjoy reggaeton at all, but as long as the person in the next cube isn't blasting it, I'm OK. Salsa, merengue, and that other stuff? Love it. Victor Manuelle and Gilberto Santa Rosa are my favorite salseros.
I love Celia Cruz. Most of my colleagues had the pleasure to meet her about 6 years ago, before I worked in the Hispanic market; they said she was very nice. We had the TV coverage of her funeral on the conference room sets the whole day it took place.
My taste is the polar opposite of yours; I love ranchera music. Pablo Montero and Alejandro Fernandez are duelling over my heart all the time. I also adore Marco Antonio Solis. I've had the privilege to meet all three of them (not on the same day, of course).
David Bisbal is a fabulous singer and I particularly love his second CD, Buleria.
Flamenco is amazing; I took lessons for 8 years. Tango is da bomb, too.
However, I'm not a big fan of Luis Miguel or Alejandro Sanz and I don't think that Enrique Iglesias is anything special. I'm also not nuts about most nortena music; that all sounds alike to me.
