My mom lets her dog out by hooking it up to a long leash. It's an old dog and prefers to be inside, so it comes back in as soon as possible. She does this with my nephew's dog too.
Nephew's dog, however, wants to go out and run and play. It digs holes all over my mom's lawn.
While my mom was letting her dog out, Nephew's dog ran past her and got away. It bolted down the street. Nephew was not amused and slammed the door open so it hit the wall. The doorknob made a hole in the drywall. Nephew was ticked for the rest of the day.
My son is handy and will fix the wall before my mother's husband sees it. My mother's husband does not like Nephew's dog as it chews the furniture.
I am refraining from saying "I TOLD YOU SO!"
My mother's husband wants to move to "get away from those people".
In the meantime, my younger sister Lin is going to write to Former SIL and tell her to not ask her (FSIL's) kids for money.
It's none of Lin's business, but I like the idea.
