Pet Peeves
Clara Bow:
I have read some hilarious stories of etiquette horror both here and on the main page. I've noticed that there are definitely some trends as to what cheeses people off the most.
So I'm going to ask. What etiquette faux pas make you the craziest?
Mine:
Bad/poor control over children
Not writing thank you notes
Expecting guests to pay for the privelege of attending your event, either in cash or labor
Cell phones (pick your faux pas here)
Bad table manners
Cyndi:
When I ask a question and the response is totally irrelevant to the question. Example -
Me: Mom, should I wear the chili pepper red or the sheer lilac lipstick with X outfit?
Mom: Did you brush your hair?
Me: Did I ask about my hair?! No! Thanks a lot! *Glares and storms away*
I also hate people who will interrupt everything to answer their cell phone and it is NOT an emergency.
EvilAlice:
Mine is when I finish up a transaction with a store clerk and realize that I was the only one to give a greeting and say thank you at the end.
Venus193:
Unruly children and the parents who won't control them
People who shout their personal business on cell phones in public
Lateness
Other types of passive aggression
Bad table manners. No adult has any acceptable excuse for that.

A store peeve of mine: being pushed/rushed out of line by the person behind me before I've had a chance to put my card back in my wallet, my wallet in my purse, and take my purchases.
