Is there a particular time that avocados are considered in season? I absolutely LOVE them, but the ones I have bought lately just don't have much flavor.

Everyone I know with an avocado tree seems to have a ton right now actually.

I guess your region may vary, I'm in South Florida.

Haas (or hass) avocados are supposed to be in season all year long.  They don't ripen until AFTER you pick them, and they can stay on the tree for months at a time with no ill effects.

The ones I've seen at the store have been crappy lately, and I don't know why.  It makes me sad.
