Heh, thanks! Welcome for a visit anytime! There's even more to this country than just pretty landscapes. And that's not even of the prettiest type - to me, it's nearly depressive, being so ordinary - the photo being taken from the highest hilltop around adds a lot. Like I said, that's what most of this country looks like: fields, woods, hills. Again and again. And the odd lake here and there. Except in Ostrobothnia, where there are no hills. (here, an irritated Ostrobothnian would say that there  is a pair in Lapua, actually - and someone would reply with "yeah, I met that girl once!". Always know your landscape jokes!)

And Toshio.  DH has been cleaning today - the cat has been put back in storage...

Amazing!  As a kitten she looks like she doesn't know what to expect.  From the look on her face in the recent picture she definitely found out that she is royalty.

I saw this little guy in the backyard and had to play with the lenses on the DSLR.  I am pretty happy with the way it came out.  First time I managed to get a good picture of a critter in the backyard, because none of the point and shoots have nearly enough zoom.  Hopefully I'll have an album of backyard critters soon!

The only time I ever saw an echidna in person was when I was young, and we had to call WIRES to come get the injured echidna we found in the rundown orchard.
