I took this picture of a chipmunk near the Metolius River in the Cascade Mountains in Oregon.

Aloe he is adorable!!! Great photo! That chipmunk looks much larger than any chipmunks we have here. I love how their stripes are so defined! His little paws are the greatest.

I like this next one. The quality is not great but the look on the elk's face is priceless!

:) many thanks! I love taking pictures. Not so much for the photography aspect (though I do love learning how to take better pics) but so that I can share the things I see with others.

This is my favorite wildlife photo I have ever taken... (oops ok so there are two that are tied :) )

I love all of these pictures!

I took these last summer at the Clemens Munsinger Gardens in St. Cloud, MN. The lantana picture is also in the "What's your wallpaper" thread.

Wow!  All those pics are really nice!  My cousin was visiting us this summer and there is an elk farm not far from my folks' house, so she took a pic to send my dad.  I like it.

Oh WOW! CathyF I love your pictures of the gardens! Flowers and plants make fascinating subjects, don't you think? I enjoy taking photos of them almost more than wildlife!

Madd Hatter, GREAT shot! They seem to be different than the elk in my neighbourhood, maybe a different type of elk? Obviously not from the same neck of the woods! What part of the world are those elk in the farm located?

This is in my yard in the summer. Not alot of wild flowers at the time of year it was taken. I have some great ones with the fireweed blooming though that I can share when I get back home this afternoon.

Thank you! Yes, I love taking pictures of flowers and other plants. I think I took 25-30 pictures at the gardens that day.

View from the window near my computer.  You can see a faint rainbow.

Thank You!  :)  I live on a mountaintop.
Is snow very unusual in Jerusalem?  I visited Jerusalem long ago, it was the Spring of 1968.

About once or twice every 2-3 years, IIRC.

(I lived in Israel when I was in 4th-5th grade... In Jerusalem, actually... and it snowed then.)

I sure do love my home and native land.  Awesome photos, FW!
