Some pics from my country of residence, Austria. Hiking is the national past time here (along with watching ski races), and understandably, because the mountains are spectacular. First, a couple of typical flowers found in any mountain meadow:
Schweizer Löwenzahn, a kind of dandelion.
Bartige Glockenblume, a furry type of bluebell found at higher altitudes.

The beautiful
Almrausch, which literally means "Mountain meadow drunkeness". It covers huge swaths of mountains, but it is endangered because people keep picking it.
Here, a picture of a cloud coming over a trail we'd just crossed from a mountain hostel to a peak.

And finally, a reason why you should never drive too fast in the mountains: cows are left to graze pretty freely all summer long.
