We actually had a good time goofing around - we ended up being late for the movie in favor of food, so we drove around a couple other cities to see what was playing and nothing was playing at a convenient time, so instead we took off to his hometown to drop off something I had for his friend Randy (just a belated Xmas gift for the dog) and for Paul to use the bathroom. We were going to go back to his mom's house to watch a movie there, but it turns out his mom and her bf apparently had the same idea, so went back to Randy's to hang out and snark on "Beauty and the Geek."
We went to dinner at Panda Express (fast food Chinese) and he was upset by my crappy fortune in my fortune cookie (something about how I had to set aside Saturdays for chores), so he went up and asked (politely, thankfully) for another fortune cookie because my fortune wasn't a good one, but the second one turned out to be (uncannily) related to the first one, so we gave it up as a bad job.
The first thing he noticed was that I "smelled really nice" and "looked very nice." (I had taken a little time after work to run home and fix myself up, including using some of my nice-smelling Bath & Body Works Jasmine stuff...shh! Don't tell! He wanted to ask what it was but I kept pretty tight-lipped - a girl doesn't give away her secrets!). All in all it was another unexpected but fun evening.

He dropped me off at the BART station, we hugged and kissed on the cheek (I'm starting to get tired of the cheek kissing - but apparently we're both playing this thing very carefully), and I was on my way.
I had gotten no sleep the night before so I hit my pillow pretty hard. We're gonna do the movie ("Children of Men") another time, which is fine with me. It was worth it for the laughs and the fact that I got through one of the toughest of "date foods" (broccoli - eek!) without getting it between my teeth.
