We still haven't heard from them. I think that at this point, they've decided to keep Maggie. But maybe it's been a wake up call for them. If they are now aware of how other people are viewing this situation, maybe they will be better dog owners. I haven't seen Maggie outside for a few days now. Hopefully, they'll keep her cleaned up and give her the attention she needs.
When I learned that Maggie's real owner was the young girl, I had a feeling this would probably happen. Like when a child has a toy that another child wants to play with. Even though they haven't picked up that toy in forever, as soon as someone else shows interest in it, all of a sudden it's their favorite toy in the world and they couldn't possibly let someone else near it.
