What Do You Love That Drives Everyone Else Nuts?

My husband and I are opposites in almost every way, though I'm finally getting him into some decent movies. His taste in music is hopeless (if I have to listen to anymore Kiss or Judas Priest I am jumping off the roof) though. Of course he says mine is just as bad.
So what are your great loves that drive the people you live with/around/friends/etc crazy?
Mine: "Gone With The Wind", all my true crime shows, Lifetime movies, Indigo Girls, Sarah Mclaughlin, Cowboy Junkies (I will faint if I find some Junkies fans here, no one I know has heard of them except for my dad), Irish music, Gregorian chants, The Darkness (I have had my life threatened by DH to listen to that cd in his presence ever again), "Les Miserables", and I'm sure I'll think of more as you guys jog my memory...all of these things have made my husband threaten to leap out plate glass windows.

I am ten years older than my wife, and she and my daughters can't stand the music I listen to...mostly from the 60's to the 80's. They also hate my choice of movies, mostly old 50's monster and scifi flicks like Godzille, Reptilicus, Them, Day the Earth Stood Still, Forbidden Planet, etc. I collect DVD's of old TV shows too. And I can't stand my wife's constant Soap Operas and movies..she loves to watch stuff where somebody is stalking/killing/kidnapping somebody else.

Horrors! Godzilla is not in the spell check dictionary!

Godzilla LOL I watch the movies at a high volume to get the effect of a real monster crashing across my house :p But anything else I watch at a very low volume because the "normal" volume my parents use on the TV is too loud for me!

I love Jessica Simpson and Mariah Carey~the boy toy only likes them when silent. Luckily he is as into the "soaps" (Desperate Housewives & Greys Anatomy) as much as I am so really its just some of my music choices that make him want to run screaming.

Youngest DD and I went into a music store yesterday. I was looking for some interesting things I could play with my violin and viola.

I found 3 books: classical, praise music, and "Phantom Of The Opera".

I have a tendency to sing, hum or lalalala to the music.

It didn't bother YDD, but it sometimes amuses the other 2, and DS rolls his eyes.

I love Fight Club. No wait, let me say that better, I LOVE FIGHT CLUB. If you watch it with me, I will quote along, I will offer tivia, I will inform you of the book/movie discrepencies and of why I adore both in their own ways.

Next to that, I adore very strange movies. Tank Girl, A Clockwork Orange, Donnie Darko, you know, very strange movies. I adore strange movies because I can pick them apart philisophically while watching them. My best friend and I will watch and philosophize to the extreme annoyance of others. Of course, we can shut it up if there's a newbie in the room or if it's a movie no one has seen.

Oh, and I have to dance and sing along with both The Producers and Chicago. Come on! Who doesn't want to be Roxie or Ulla?

Music: Olivia Newton-John, her 70's-80's stuff. Some of my friends were horrified when I bought her greatest hits CD from that era. And I will shamelessly blast it throughout my apt. The same goes for the show tunes channel on my cable TV.

Movies: I like stupid slasher movies from the 80's. The Friday the 13th series and that stuff. I also like watching the creature-feature movies on the SciFi channel.

TV: some junky reality shows like Girls Next Door and those rock star reality ones. I also like watching true crime shows like Forensic Files and that one A&E show.

I LOOOOOOOOVE Richard Cheese!  Have you ever seen him live?  If not, you really have to try to catch one of his shows.  His website has them listed.  I think they're usually at smaller nightclubs for that extra "loungy" feel.  I also really like the use of his cover of "Down with the Sickness" in the remake of Dawn of the Dead.  Classic.  My favorite Richard Cheese song will always be Hot for Teacher.

I am a AbFab junkie.  DH hates it, especially when I have a 5 season and 2 special marathon (aren't DVD's wonderful?)

As to music, DH is a 70's rock fan, so my contemporary music vibe drives him up the wall as well.

As to strange music acts, anybody heard of Wesley Willis?  Here's a clip:
