middle school sex-pots
sillysquirrel:
I was looking at wedding proofs on-line and in the event list was a middle school dance. So curious to relive my younger days I clicked on it to see all the cuties at the dance.
CRUD MONKEYS!!! I will give credit to the majority of girls who looked really nice and respectable. The other girls I stared at in disbelief. The dresses they wore and the poses they struck made me shake my head. Some were dressed like they were going to "work" after the dance.
And what made me sad (besides them having a larger chest than myself) was their baby faces covered in make-up. These girls looked like they were 18 and going to prom. But in reality they were only 10 or 11.
My question, is this the acceptable norm to dress children like Britany Spears? These dresses would have been unacceptable at my school dance. Do parents even draw the line anymore or is sex appeal all that matters?

This parent does. It'll be a cold day in ehell when my dd dresses like a prostitot (word courtesy of Mike Straka).

The fact is that kids are going up younger and younger these days. I student teach right now and I had an 8th grader confide in me that she thought she was prego. She's a baby herself! It's sad, but it's the sad reality in this world. My opinion is that some parents need to step it up.

Likewise. Until I was out of the house all of my tops came up to my collar bone and none of my skirts (or anything else) were shorter than my knees. AND everything in between was covered too. Amazingly enough, it was only about 5 years ago that I was still at home.

There was a girl in my 8th grade class who got pregnant. That was in 1979.
