Chicago area gardeners needed!

I've decided to attempt to set up a volunteer community food farm/garden in one of the "food desert" areas of Chicago on some vacant land that I could borrow from the city.  My plan is to start growing for the growing season of 2009 or 2010.  Is anyone interested in getting involved with something like this?  Thanks in advance.
