Any other Oscar junkies out there besides me??

Okay, this is my most favorite show of the year, and I look forward to watching it. Mostly because I like to see what everyone is wearing, heh. But secondly, because I love seeing people getting honored for their work, no matter what shady things people may say about the Oscars. So today the nominations came out!! I've got to start watching-up on the films, because I've only see 'Little Miss Sunshine' so far. I loved that film and would definitely recommend it! I do really want to see 'The Departed'. Glad to see that 'Dreamgirls' didn't get a picture nomination. I haven't even seen the film yet, but I've heard only mediocre reviews of it everywhere from critics and friends who have seen it. They say the music and acting is good, but the picture itself is just okay. I do want to see it, but will wait for the DVD. I'm glad that all the massive hype surrounding it didn't warrant it any more nominations than it deserved. I hate it when Oscars are nominated/awarded based on all hype!! I do really want to see 'The Last King of Scotland' with Forrest Whitaker to see his performance because everyone is raving about it, and I've always liked him in the past.

Rose2Bear:
I loved Little Miss Sunshine so I'm happy for it and I hope it wins a lot - including that little girl for best supporting actress! (shes 10!)

BUT, I'm furious that Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Man's Chest didn't get nominated for best pic and best actor. OK OK maybe its not really Oscar material but it's the best darned movie I've seen in a LONG while!

Cyndi:
I generally watch for the fashion. *points to Shezilla pic in the Cuteliness forum*. I especially love it when someone shows up in a dress so strange that I wonder if they saw a mirror before leaving.

MadMadge43:
I HATE all award shows. But my BF and his friends are addicted. I swear they're worse than girls about it. But they are in the TV industry hoping one day they'll be in the movie industry.

I do like the dresses though.

Cupcake Fiend:
I usually don't watch, just wait for the snarky comments about the fashions to come up in the MSN Undressed column.

I know, I'm bad...
