Standing Ovation!  I hate it when people whine "I didn't have a choice" to get out of being responsible for their actions.  Bull puckey I say!  There is always a choice, and just because you don't like the choice doesn't mean you don't have one!

"POCKETS!"  From the new Dr. Who, "Runaway Bride" extra geek points if you laugh.

1. Life is never going to be 'fair' whatever that means.

MerryRaven, i know it's not how you meant it, but that makes me think of the movie Labyrinth and David Bowie saying It's not fair is it? Hmmmm. I wonder what your basis for comparison is.

Well my mother told me that first one long before anyone knew who David Bowie was.  LOL

Only when I said "It's not fair!!!"  She would say "Get used to it.  Life is never fair and you are going to have to learn to cope."

Or worse yet snapped, "No it is not fair it is reality!"

Well......you've got to admit, the phrase "life's not fair" is THAT much harder to take when you're, say, twelve years old, and the person who's SAYING it is the very person who's created the circumstances that are making life "unfair" at that moment.  For example:

MY MOM:  Freaky, clean up the kitchen!

ME:  But that's not fair, I didn't make that mess, Bigfoot (a.k.a. my brother) and his friend Bratling did.

MY MOM:  LIFE isn't fair, get used to it.

Oh, heck, yes. That's frustrating as all get out, especially since parents typically try to teach kids to 'be fair' to others & then turn around & do completely unfair things to their kids. But, ehh, what're you going to do? You live through it long enough to become an angsty teenager & drive them crazy right back  :P
It's alright, man. I'm only bleeding, man. Stay hungry, stay free, and do the best you can.
