If you could...
« on: January 24, 2007, 06:40:06 PM »
...do something that you wouldn't, normally, what would it be?

I don't generally watch MTV, but I think the show Made is pretty cool. It "makes over" kids who want to accomplish a specific goal. It's interesting that they're learning about something that's "fish out of water" for them. For instance, the softball player wants to join the dance team or the shy girl wants to try out for the lead in the school musical, etc.

Anyway, I'm horrendously tone deaf and have terrible stage fright. Yet, if I could, I would LOVE to be a Broadway actor. I love musicals and plays. The stage fascinates me in a way that the screen never does.

So, what about you?

Try out for American Idol. In fact I would seriously go and try if I just knew where they held the big tryouts where the crowds go. I can never find info on this in time to go.

I'd love to be in a Broadway musical too!

Maybe in My Fair Lady.

I'd be a judge on Iron Chef America.  Even better, the original Japanese Iron Chef.  I love Chairman Kaga!

I would die to sing a duet with Josh Groban. *_*

Sing and play an instrument.

I can't carry a tune in a bucket.  Apparently my bucket has a hole in it.  I am also incredibly shy and hate to be the center of attention.  Yet, I have always dreamed of acting.

Sing. I can't sing at all. I have been told that I can't carry it is was in a bucket and someone else's hand on the handle.

Yet I do come a musical family. There are several professional musicians in the family and my oldest is working on becoming one too.

I tell them that someone needs to be the audience and appreciate their hard work.

Be disciplined enough to really learn to play the guitar well...oh, and I'd like to have a beautiful Guild thrown into the bargain...Or maybe a Martin?
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.

Try out for a professional football cheerleader squad (i.e. the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders).  This would be out of character as, 1) I don't live in a city with a pro football team (but with a basketball team), and 2) I have no dance experience.  Still, I think it would be a hoot ;D-they don't seem to have maximun ages.

I'm an avid Jeopardy! fan and keep thinking I'd like to try out for the show.  But then I think that if I did go on and didn't do well I'd never be able to watch the show again.

I'd love to try a real equestrian steeplechase course (National Hunt racing, depending on where you live), on a horse fabulous enough to be able to pull off those jumps.

I could also duet with Dennis DeYoung. His voice range and mine are similar. I wouldn't mind singing with Michael Been, either. I've performed some of his songs before (and one of Bruce's as well).

Josh Groban isn't quite my style, though he has a wonderful voice.
