You Broke My Menorah???? (Dresser Queen I think I Hate You)

I am glad the you and your Hubby will have the Menorah for this Hanukkah, and many more to come.
I agree with the PP who said to file a log report, not only for yourself, but also, if a neighbor is having issues with DQ similar to yours, there will also be a record that she has been an issue to others. It's a group CYA, kind of.

So, does anyone else think it's weird that DQ apparently offered to take the package? I can't help but wonder if the UPS driver was going to simply leave it at Marina's door when DQ insisted that she would take it.

Seriously, does she spend her entire time watching your apartment? How else could she have seen the delivery since your front door isn't visible from hers.

It seems like she is stalking you and this would make me very nervous.

I did call the HOA and filed and "incident report" the woman who took it from me was quite sympathetic....as DQ has made herself quite the bother reporting all sorts of things that are non-issues.

While talking to the company I bought the product from, I told them my tale of woe, and how this was our first holiday actually married and we had hopped to have something we could use every year. They chose to overnight to my office. So I should have it tomorrow.

Oh I hope you do. I've been following this thread and made me so sad to think you weren't going to be able to start your tradition the way you wanted.  I hope it does work out. That is a beautiful menorah.

IIRC, DQ volunteered to take it, the driver didn't ask.  Also I think Marina said her door is *not* in the line-of-sight of DQ's.  To me, that says busybody (at best) or thief.

The drivers note who takes the item so it's not theft.  She could've been outside at the time the driver pulled up - hence the need to carry it across the garage resulting in the multiple dropping of the menorah (which is totally not believable).  I think the woman is a horrible, evil, busybody, but I still can't accuse her of theft when leaving a package with a neighbor is a totally acceptable thing to do for most delivery companies and they even note who takes the item.

Ok then, a busybody with *serious* boundary problems!  It still bugs me that she opened the box and took the menorah out, when the sensible thing (apart from not dropping in multiple times) would have been to leave it alone and just let Marina know what happened.

Oh, I completely agree.  The woman should be admitted to some inpatient treatment center - preferably one with shock therapy...  Glass can be heavy, but if it was too heavy for her, any delivery guy would've taken it to her door for her.

All of our doors are inside of the garage. Sort of like a huge car port.
