Run. I walk very, very fast, but I can no longer run.

I will likely never be able to work outside my home anymore, which makes me pray for lots of freelance work.

And I'm beginning to wonder if we're ever going to be able to build our house.  :(

Kingsrings, I also have always wanted to learn to fly a plane. It's a strange ambition, I guess, since I hate to drive. Maybe I'll do it one day, I'm still young enough to believe that I have enough time to do everything I want in life.

I'm the kid who has this habit of dreaming
Sometimes gets me in trouble too
But the truth is I could no more stop dreaming
Than I could make them all come true.

- Learn how to play any kind of instrument. I would love to learn how to play the drums or the saxophone, but I don't understand music notes.
- Do any sort of activity that carries a risk of killing me, such as skydiving.
- Go on a roller coaster.
- Find a pair of flare-legged pinstriped pants that fit me.
- Be a healthy weight. I was at one point, but now I'm 40 pounds and forever away from being that way again.
- Stop drinking coffee.
- Run a mile in under 13 minutes.

Be aggressive. I will, eventually, have to break a board (though, I DID try on Jan. 16. It didn't go QUITE the way I planned on it going), and, apparently, I need to be aggressive to do so.

See, and visit, first boyfriend. He lives in Texas. I would prefer him come visit me, but I may go visit him-- as soon as I get money, that is. I REALLY WANT TO SHOW HIM AROUND MY TOWN!

That's about it.

I was just thinking about that.

I guess I'll never have a real job, or get married.

Make more than just a handful of really good friends who don't turn out to be completely insane. I've always wanted to have lots of friends, but it seems that I am only going to have a select few (who I love dearly) and lots of acquaintances to share nachos with at school.
Of course, it might help if I would leave the house on occasion....LOL...
I have finally found the bar I can't get thrown out of....

I have a few friends who aren't insane, but they're all cats. ;)

Chip says I need to get out more, too. But honestly, except for Tim, my closest friends all live out of town, and I'm just not a "hang out with acquaintances" kind of person.

I will never be Julie Andrews and I will never be a nun.

Believe it or not, those are the two things I wanted more than anything when I was about 12.
I should also mention that I am not and have never been Catholic.

I will never be a singer or a dancer.  The years of enforced dancing lessons from 6-16 were a complete waste of time an money except at age 52 I am still pretty limber.

I sing like the gal on American Idol that came in because she couldn't sing and wanted them to teach her.
You know the one in the red cowboy hat.  I have always wanted to sing, but never was deluded enough to inflict it on people.

I could still get into acting if I wanted to because there have been a few actress that have gotten later starts than this and I could still write my novel.

That sounds like my life and a lot of other people's lives as well. Seriously, in reality I think people really only have a few good friends out of the social circle they have. I've done a lot better lately of getting rid of the insane ones, which I'm proud of myself for. I no longer want to put up with it and have no tolerance.

I will never be rich.  Or live the fabulous jet-set life-styles of the rich and famous.

I will not have tea with the Queen or (probably) have lunch with Harrison Ford (and I mean the young one from Star Wars).

Well, I might be rich if I won the lottery, but since I forget to buy tickets, that is not likely.  And even then the other things are not likely.

I will never be on the Johnny Carson show now either.

You know this is getting depressing.

It seems I am never, ever destined to make it to a proper movie showing with my friend Paul to use up those stupid movie tickets I won forever ago. Specifically so we could go to the movies.  :P

Oh and at 52 I think there is no chance that I will be thin and in good shape.

I could be thinner than I am and in better shape, but I will still be over 50.

But 130 with steel abs and no celulite is probably a lost cause.

You know, Mefrry raven, all hope is not lost! My mom has been very overweight most of my life (with some yo-yo-ing when I was a kid...). 2 years ago she decided to join the gym and WW, and now @ 54 she is in the best shape of her life, and has more energy than I do!

I've *always* been thin, but she's probably in better shape than I am too!
