I'm addicted to "cotton candy" ice cream... it is SO hard to find in the grocery store!!  One day they had it at the school's dining hall in the ice cream parlor, but it was gobbled up in no time!  :(

Not only that, but real cotton candy is hard to find as well.  I found a movie theater that made it, but they stopped selling it for some reason even though it seemed to sell like hot cakes.

My poor husband looooooves cadbury chocolate( he's English)
They have stopped lot of sales in Israel, and only a few shops around Jerusalem have the odd bar or two, usually at exorbitant prices( even though I think our Elite chocs are  better.. ;)
so whenever I see aCadbury yummies  in a shop  ,I  pounce on thme  like a mad women  and get him a few to have as a special treat.

Ooooh Cadbury chocolate.... the only treat has the capability to make me lose all eating manners and turn me into a rabid animal.  During easter when they sell the cream eggs and mini eggs, DF and I buy them in bulk and binge on them.  ;)

Cadbury has started to sell their plain chocolate in large bars recently.  The other day I found them at a gas station and bought $7 worth.  The clerk made some comment about having an unhealthy snack and was treated with the e-hell icy glare in return.

I saw this company featured on Unwrapped on the Food Network

http://www.hometownfavorites.com/

My son LOVES Blue Bunny 3 flavor ice cream sandwiches.  Unfortunately, they are only sold here through ice cream trucks and  Wal-Mart supercenters.  The closest supercenter is 20 miles away.

I love shwarma.  Israeli shwarma.  I have yet to find any in the state of Oregon.  I've found Greek-style, but it's different.  I miss my shwarma...

The Wal-Mart Superstore near my hometown does their own cotton candy and sells it in either bags or small plastic buckets.  And it's very reasonable, so I get some from time to time to share with the kids.

What I wouldn't give for some Crosse & Blackwell Salad Cream!

Oh BTW, do you know Gingerbread Men were banned in the UK for some years because their legs were apart? Well they're back now, with legs firmly together! ::)

I can't exactly relate to being addicted to a hard-to-find food, but I can relate to being addicted to a fifteen-year-old cartoon with an unplanned DVD release.  Is that close enough?

Which cartoon is it? There are some that I've been dying to get, too.

Other than cartoons, I really love Laura Secord Chocolate Mint bars. But I haven't seen them around in ages. :(

Which ones have you been dying to get?

I can't remember which one I was specifically referring to, but the Darkwing Duck DVD release has been driving the fandom nuts (1 year between volumes, with zero bonus features and really awful box art.  Stuff any yahoo with a computer could put together in an afternoon) The rest of those Disney Afternoon classics, but Darkwing is my favorite.  I can't remember actually watching it, but this one episode gives me the creeps because it's so familiar.

I used to collect syndicated cartoons with a little help from Mr. VCR and Miss Flea Market.  The most notorious one, for me, was the All Dogs Go to Heaven Series.  40 episodes and they pulled it from FOX at the very end.  There was a DVD release, but only 8 random episodes on 2 different discs.  At least I got my favorite one.

Okay, enough about cartoons.  This thread isn't about cartoons, Terriblepun.  A few weeks ago somebody gave me Hershey's Hugs, and I've been looking up and down for them ever since.  Can't find them anywhere to save my life!  I can find those lousy Kissables everywhere I turn (Tried them, don't care for them.  They taste okay but make my stomach feel funny, like I've been swallowing pebbles.  Yes, I have swallowed pebbles.  I was a toddler once.)

I found these sweet poatato pringles. Man are those good. But the supermarket I usually shop at all is all sold out and I dont know when we are getting more. Must have more of those. They sound really gross but are really tasty.

Ok, that is just weird! I was looking through some new DVDs at work the other day and saw All Dogs Go To Heaven, and wondered if it was the cartoon you wanted! Creepy!

I haven't seen Darkwing Duck. I will keep an eye out for it.

For myself, I'd like the Animaniacs series, but they are hideously expensive, and there are only a few episodes on each DVD. ::sigh:: I'd also like a DVD of a short-lived cartoon called Duckman, but I don't know if they are releasing one. Actually, I'd like a lot of cartoon DVDs. Its a good thing I haven't found them all, or I'd be broke! ;D

I miss broasted chicken and JoJos.  I used to get that when I was a kid in Washington, and then in Clear Lake Iowa they had a drive-in with the best broasted chicken.   I couldn't find it in Idaho, and I have not located any in Texas.   People just give me a blank stare and say, "WHAT?"     Yup BROASTED chicken.... I love it.    But in the meanwhile, LongJohn Silver's makes  good chicken strips and push huppies.

My local grocery had this stuffed pizza ring thing they made in the deli.  I swear I gained 20 lbs eating those for months.  Then they were just gone and the store said no one else bought them.  then I got hooked on this super creamy danish butter (that's what it was called Danish butter I have no idea why danish butter is different) I loved it on baguettes.  Store stopped selling it because people said it was to expensive.  They also no longer carry cheve cheese, bagettes, or blue cheese stuffed olives.

However if you like pork rinds and EZ cheese we are well stocked.

You can, however, get both online.  The red cream soda is VERY expensive, but for a fix it's there.  Tastykake has a whole web site stuffed with yummy good things, and the prices are not bad at all.

My vice is vanilla Pepsi.  They stopped selling it in my area, so I have to rely on family to bring it when they visit.  I also get my Tastykakes this way.

Oh man! Bummer! There's a Krispy Kreme less than three miles from my house. That Hot Light is like a siren's song …
