HANSOLMASKWA
« on: December 10, 2007, 04:09:31 PM »
I just got the email at work with the invitation to the Winter Party: HANSOLMASKWA.  Took me a minute to figure out what on earth they were getting at.  Then I got it:  Hannukah, Solstice, Christmas, Kwanzaa all mushed together.  Actually I think its kind of cute though I have no idea how to pronounce it.  Is this commonly used and I am an old fogy because I never heard of it, or did someone at my office just make it up?

I saw something where they were celebrating Hannachrismakwansica or something like that.  Hannakuh, Christmas, and Kwanzaa in one.

And don't forget The OC where they celebrated Christmukah (I think?).  Hannakuh and Christmas.  They had yarmukles that looked like Santa hats!

I usually hear Chrismahanukwanzakah, however, where you'd fit Yule in that, I'm not sure.  Chrismahanukwanzayule, maybe?  :-\ ;)
