I write House/Wilson slash. ... I'll just end up playing right into his hands and start a flame war.
I don't know who those people are (I don't watch TV except for Stargate) but anti-slashers always seem to express their hatred of slash BY READING IT. They deliberately ignore the warnings just so they can email you (us slash writers) and say how "disgusted" they were. I just think, "Get a life" and ignore it.
I dowloaded a file years ago (about Blake's 7 slash - another show I've never seen) that had a very good quote in it, something like, "I've never heard of a slash zine following people about, flapping and screaming, 'Read me, read me'!" People have to seek slash out. Why seek out something you're going to hate? They're idiots.
I do find that, in general, slash is usually very well-written. I think it has to be, because the re
lationships and situations have to be believable. I love going to various sites and looking for long, well-written slash stories. I have more than two THOUSAND Sentinel slash stories on my hard drive. And 90% of them are excellent.
