That is it, I am done!
« on: January 28, 2007, 04:53:38 PM »
I attended my best friend's (Stella) birthday last night in Newport Beach, CA. Stella hired and paid for a limo, dinner for 10 girls at a very hip restaurant and all drinks for the group wherever we went and put us up at a 4 star hotel. It was really above and out of the ordinary for our group of friends, but she had many contacts so it didn't cost her as much as it could have.

One of her friends, Cruella, was also in attendance. I have never been a fan of this woman before, she's stuck up, rude and never stops complaining. But I only have to deal with her maybe once every year or two. Besides non-stop complaining about every thing, she was also rude to the limo driver and wait staff.

But the straw that broke the camels back was when Stella wanted to go to a particular dive bar where we could dance and let loose. Cruella is not a fan of the bar and complained to anyone who would listen to her that she couldn't believe she had to pay $10 to get into this horrible bar. The only thing any of us paid for the entire night was the $10 admittance fee to this bar (it was cash only and hostess didn't have that kind of cash on her, and really shouldn't have had to pay in the first place). The rest of us never even thought about having to pay our way in. I just couldn't believe she could complain about this after everything she received last night.

My other friend and I told Stella this morning that we never wanted to hang out with Cruella again. She agreed and said it would be the last time she was invited anywhere. I'm sure Cruella will wonder why she's not invited places anymore, but I just couldn't believe anyone could be such a horrible and miserable person. Good riddance to her.

Thank you for letting me vent, I've been mad all morning.

Holy expletive! I would be, too!

You always think people like that only exist on tv until you meet them (at least i do).

It's alright, man. I'm only bleeding, man. Stay hungry, stay free, and do the best you can.

You know, it drives me out of my mind when a person hosts a party and does not bring enough money to cover every expense for every guest. For that matter, she should have bought your gas to get there and made your car payment that month since you had to have the car to drive to the event. Oh, and your house payment, bacause you had to have somewhere to go after the party was over....
Good grief. I think it was fabulous of Stella to pay for everything on her birthday. Sounds like Cruella has some entitlement issues to work out. On her own....
I have finally found the bar I can't get thrown out of....

That sounds like a blast!  And Stella sounds like a great friend.  Glad to hear she's cutting Cruella out, hope she sticks to that.

You forgot to mention groceries for the day of the event and the day following
(as I'm sure the party started on one day and ended early morning of the next).
I've never knitted anything I could recognize when it was finished.  Actually, I've never finished anything, much to my family's relief.

*And* the clothes and make-up they wore, obviously.

If this didn't happen in California, I'd swear that you met some of my in-laws!

But seriously, the party sounded like a blast. I can't believe that Cruella would complain about having to pay a cover charge (and when you think of everything Stella paid for, ponying up $10 isn't a bad deal at all!).   I just hope Stella didn't hear her complaint at the time.  How awkward and embarrassing.

My guess is that Cruella is jealous of Stella because she was able to throw such a fabulous night out and she has so many friends to share it with.
