It's taking me a minute to get used to it (I miss the list of topics on the side), but I like the way it reads.

I miss the old set up, I liked being able to respond directly to people and getting emails that I had a response. Let me say in advance that if anyone PODs me, or asks a question within a thread and I don't get back to them I didn't mean anything by it, I just missed you. Sorry!

You can still respond to people directly by quoting them and you can still get email notification of responses to your posts.  Check out the options in your Profile preferences.   You can also click on "Show all unread messages to me" located directly under the "Hello Auntie Venom" at the top of the page.

Unless I'm doing it wrong somehow, it's been my experience on this board that I'm notified when there's a post in a thread that I've replied in, but necessarily when someone has quoted me/replied to me, specifically.

I'm getting used to it. That's as good as it gets right now, considering this setup makes me *horribly* claustrophobic. 
With the old board, you could see post titles, and the messages, etc., all at once. I can't see everything at once with this one, which is probably better for the site, but...

I CAN'T STAND not seeing everything!!! It makes me want to push at the screen to get the dang messages out of the way so I can breathe!!

Oh, you can see EVERYTHING unread since your last visit if you want.  Just click on the "Show unread  posts since last visit" under the "Hello Blue2000" and you'll see every post made since you last visit in one huge list.

I love this setup! It was the old eHell setup that confused me, and this has been the kind of board I'm used to since I started using message boards!

I prefer this setup, this board software and style's what I'm the most used to.

I'm having a hard time getting used to it.  I liked being able to click on a thread and having only the posts I haven't read yet pop up.  Getting to new posts is a pain in the keister for me.  Perhaps I just don't know what I'm doing. 

I'm finding myself spending way too much time trying to figure out what I have and haven't read yet, that I am posting very little.

If you click on the word "New" in the little white box, you will advance to the posts that are new since your last visit.

For me the worst part is not being able to address the posts directly to anyone without quoting them.  And having to edit the quotes so as to get only to the relevant part.
