Is it also ok to use a giftcard to buy someone else a gift? I used my gift card off my aunt to buy a couple of t-shirts for my siblings for their Xmas gift, just because I spotted them and they were amusingly appropriate and I can't spend £30 on clothing for myself, especially not in the store I recieved the card to.

It's your gift and you can do whatever you like with it.

i don't look a gift card in the mouth. if i'm given a resturant gift card that may not be enough to cover 2 people it doesn't phase me a bit b/c i do eat out alone on occasion, esp. on my lunch break.
